My creative space...

Its raining today, so we're inside and snuggly and I'm on the couch admiring my weekend efforts... I've been making these little brooches for a while now. They are made from japanese remnants and recycled kimono fabrics, wool felt and buttons made from Tasmanian native tree twigs. They were a hit at a recent market and I've not shown them here because some are destined for PIF/giveaway recipients and I didn't want to spoil the surprise... But, well, its what I'm doing today, and its not the whole thing, so here they are :)

Go see where others create over here.

  3. Well, I'm glad that you showed your brooches - PIF, or no PIF. There's something about wood in its natural state. Beautiful.

Is that a purple couch I spy??? Cool!

  4. They look great. I love the fact that they are made from reused and found objects. How wonderful that they were a hit at that market.

  10. They're gorgeous Lauren. I'm not surprised they're selling well. I love that the materials have a bit of a story to them as well... precious.

Now regarding the comment you left with me about your guilt about not yet posting something... personally I'm SO OK with you just taking your time. Or if the pressure is doing your head in, I'm willing to release you of obligation! I love reading your blog and being inspired by your words and the stuff you make - that's a gift in itself. xx G
